I was always going to like BCU designer Zhenwei Chu's designs. Not only are they glossy geometric forms in my favourite black and gold colour scheme, but they also feature gold threads...
Suspending gold silk threads within resin has resulted in pieces reminiscent of rutilated quartz, only strictly regimented and minimalist.
Chu's website features further pieces in a variety of colourways and textures, but it's this collection I find most striking and sleek - again, achieving that all-important balance between creative and commercial.
