Probably one of the most commercial collections I saw at CSM was that of Victoria Thay, who presented a strong and cohesive collection which utilised the precision of still relatively new 3D printing technology;
Inspired by her architectural experiences living in the city, Thay created her final range based on perspectives - resulting in a seemingly simple collection whose pieces reveal different viewpoints and cast different shadows depending on the angle they are looked at from.
The pieces are sleek and attractive in their own right, but once this facet of their design is revealed they become far more exciting. The photography on Thay's website does a great job of exploring the precise angles and intentions of the collection, showing off how deceptively clever each simple piece actually is.
